Repetitive keywords

Appropriately chosen keywords are an important element of an effective advertising campaign. In the case of the Google Ad Grants program, you should avoid using the same keywords repeatedly within the same account.

If you use the same keywords on your Google Ads account, your own Ads may end up competing against each other for Ad placement. This can result in higher CPC and decreased visibility for your Ads.

How does PING work?

PING analyzes all enabled campaigns on your Google Ads account, excluding smart campaigns

If repetitive keywords appear on your account:

  • PING:  You will receive a notification and tips on how to pause them.

  • PING + Assistant: PING will automatically pause duplicate keywords in all Ad groups except the one generating the most clicks. If the number of clicks is the same in all Ad groups, the keyword will be retained in only one.

How to pause duplicate keywords?

Select "Keywords" in the navigation bar. You will see all keywords in your campaigns.

Use the search bar to find a specific keyword, then click on the dot next to the keyword and select "pause."
